능력 안에 있는 믿음

1. 말씀 기도 (다같이): “내가 너희 가운데 거할 때에 약하고 두려워하고 심히 떨었노라(3절)” 하나님, 바울에게 있었던 약함, 두려움, 떨림 등이 우리의 생활 속에도 있습니다. 하나님의 자녀로서 당당하게 살아야 함에도 불구하고 여전히 두려워하고 불안해하는 우리를 용서하여 주시옵소서. 성령님, 우리 크리스천들은 성령께서 주시는 힘으로 살아가야 함에도 불구하고 여전히 내 힘으로만 살려고 하는 어리석음을 용서하여 주시옵소서. 예수님, 죽음의 십자가조차도 담대하게 마주하신 것처럼 우리도 어떠한 시련과 역경이 다가온다 할지라도 담대하게 맞서서 승리하는 제자들이 되게 하시옵소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도드리옵나이다. 아멘
1. Word Prayer (All): "I came to you in weakness—timid and trembling(3)." God, the weakness, fear, and trembling that Paul had are also present in our lives. Forgive us who are still afraid and anxious even though we have to live strongly as children of God. Holy Spirit, forgive us the foolishness of trying to live by our own strength, even though we Christians have to live by the strength that the Holy Spirit gives us. Jesus, just as you boldly faced even the cross of death, help us to become victorious disciples no matter what trials and tribulations come. We pray in the name of Jesus. amen

1 And so it was with me, brothers and sisters. When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God.[a] 2 For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. 3 I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling. 4 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, 5 so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power. God’s Wisdom Revealed by the Spirit 6 We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7 No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 8 None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”[b]—the things God has prepared for those who love him— 10 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.
5. 본문 이해:
크리스천은 하나님의 능력, 성령의 능력을 받아 믿음 생활을 하는 사람입니다. 이런 능력 있는 크리스천의 중심은 “예수 그리스도와 그의 십자가(2절)”입니다. 일반적으로 성공한 사람들을 능력있는 사람, 실력이 있는 사람이라고 합니다. 그러나 실력이 있는 크리스천은 다릅니다.
첫째로, 실력 있는 크리스천은 예수님을 닮아 자신을 내려놓을 줄 아는 사람입니다. 예수님은 하나님이시지만 인간의 모습을 갖고 이 땅으로 내려오셨습니다. 그것도 낮고 천한 마구간에서 탄생하셨지요. 심지어는 인류를 구원하기 위해 자신의 목숨을 십자가에 내려놓으셨습니다.
우리가 살고 있는 세상은 경쟁사회입니다. 세상의 지혜는 경쟁에서 살아남는 방법으로 상대를 누르고 높이 올라가라고 부추기고 있습니다. 그런데 하나님의 지혜는 다릅니다. 스스로 낮아지고 내려놓아야 한다고 가르칩니다. 모두가 성공하고 높아지려는 경쟁사회에서 예수님처럼 산다는 것은 쉽지 않은 일입니다. 그래서 사회적으로 지위가 높고 재물이 많은 사람이 자신을 내려놓고 주위에 어려운 사람들을 섬기는 것이야 말로 기적이지요.
고린도전서는 바울이 2년 동안 선교의 열매로 세워진 교회입니다. 그런데 고린도 교회 내에 교인들 간에 심각한 문제들이 생겨났습니다. 고린도전서 1장을 보면 바울은 고린도 교회 내에서 서로 파벌을 이루어 싸우는 문제를 언급하고 있습니다. 자기주장과 고집을 앞세우면 싸우고 분열하게 되어있지요. 이런 문제를 해결하려면 자신의 주장과 고집을 내려놓아야 합니다. 자신을 내려놓고 겸손할 줄 아는 것이 크리스천의 실력 곧 능력입니다.
둘째로, 하나님의 능력을 받은 크리스천은 자신의 문제를 십자가에 못 박을 줄 아는 사람입니다. 예수께서 십자가에 달려 돌아가시자 하나님은 무덤에 묻히신 예수님을 삼 일만에 부활시키셨습니다. 십자가의 지혜는 우리의 문제를 십자가에 못 받으면 하나님께서 새롭게 살려주신다는 것입니다. 그래서 바울은 “내가 그리스도와 함께 십자가에 못 박혔나니 그런즉 이제는 내가 사는 것이 아니요 오직 내 안에 그리스도께서 사시는 것이라(갈 23:20)”라며 고백하고 있습니다.
바울은 본문 3절에서 자신이 고린도 교인들과 함께 생활할 때에 약하고 두렵고 떨렸다고 고백하고 있습니다. 강하고 담대한 바울의 이면에는 연약함 두려움 근심이 있었습니다. 소아시아 여러 교회들을 세우고 또한 교회 내에서 일어나는 문제들을 접하면서 스트레스를 받기도 하고 바울을 향한 공격과 핍박이 몰아쳐 올 때는 두려움과 연약함에 빠지기도 했다는 것이지요. 사실 바울도 우리와 별반 다를 바가 없는 사람이었습니다. 사람이면 누구나 겪고 있는 연약함, 두려움 등을 대할 때마다 바울은 그런 것들에 눌리거나 잡히지 않고 오히려 지혜롭고 용기 있게 극복해나간 것입니다. 그 비결이 곧 “예수 그리스도의 십자가”였습니다. 십자가에 하나님께서 싫어하시는 것들을 모두 못 박아 버려야 합니다. 나의 연약함, 불안, 떨림, 두려움, 스트레스를 십자가에 못 박으면 하나님은 평화와 생명으로 공급해주십니다. 자신의 약함과 질병을 십자가에 못 받으면 하나님께서 강함과 치유함으로 축복을 주십니다.
5. Understanding the Text:
A Christian is a person who lives by faith by receiving the power of God and the power of the Holy Spirit. The center of this powerful Christian is “Jesus Christ and His Cross” (verse 2). In general, successful people are called talented people, talented people. But Christians with skills are different.
First, a competent Christian is someone who resembles Jesus and knows how to put himself down. Although Jesus is God, He came down to this earth in human form. He was also born in a low and lowly stable. He even laid down his life on the cross to save mankind.
The world we live in is a competitive society. The wisdom of the world encourages you to beat your opponents and climb higher as a way to survive the competition. But God's wisdom is different. It teaches you to humble yourself and let go. Living like Jesus in a competitive society where everyone wants to be successful and elevated is not easy. That is why it is a miracle for a person with high social status and wealth to give up on themselves and serve those in need around them.
The book of 1 Corinthians is a church established by Paul as the fruit of his two years of mission. However, serious problems arose among the members of the Corinthian church. In 1 Corinthians 1, Paul is referring to the problem of factions fighting with each other within the Corinthian church. If you put your assertion and stubbornness first, you are bound to fight and divide. To solve this problem, you have to let go of your arguments and stubbornness. Knowing how to put yourself down and be humble is a Christian's skill or ability.
Second, a Christian who has received the power of God is someone who knows how to crucify his problems. After Jesus died on the cross, God resurrected Jesus from the tomb on the third day. The wisdom of the cross is that if we do not receive our problems on the cross, God will resurrect us. That's why Paul said, "I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me" (Galatians 23:20).
Paul confesses in verse 3 that he was weak, afraid, and trembling when he was living with the Corinthians. Behind the strong and courageous Paul was his weakness, fear and anxiety. He said that when he established several churches in Asia Minor and encountered problems within the church, he was stressed and fell into fear and weakness when attacks and persecutions against Paul came. In fact, Paul was no different from us. Whenever he faced weaknesses and fears that all human beings face, Paul was not pressed or caught by them, but rather overcame them wisely and courageously. The secret was “the cross of Jesus Christ”. We must nail all the things that God hates to the cross. If I crucify my weakness, anxiety, trembling, fear, and stress, God provides peace and life. If you do not receive your own weakness and disease on the cross, God will bless you with strength and healing.

8. 기도(기도 제목): 예수님, 우리의 믿음이 좋은 말, 아름다운 말, 설득력 있는 말이 아니라 하나님의 능력에 세워지게 하시옵소서. 바울처럼 오직 예수 그리스도와 그의 십자가 외에 아무 것도 알지 않기로 작정하는 결단력 있는 믿음을 가지게 하시옵소서. 믿음에 방해가 되는 세상의 지혜와 우리의 교만을 예수님처럼 내려놓을 수 있는 능력을 주시옵소서. 신앙생활을 어렵게 만드는 상처, 연약함, 두려움, 걱정 등을 십자가에 못 박을 수 있는 용기를 주시옵소서. 세상에서 우리를 유혹하고 시험하는 이 모든 것들을 십자가에 못 박고 하나님이 주시는 능력을 체험하게 하시옵소서. 하나님의 능력으로 말씀에 순종하고 세상을 이기는 크리스천으로 세워주시옵소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도드리옵나이다. 아멘.

Jesus, help us to build our faith in the power of God, not in good words, beautiful words, or persuasive words. Like Paul, give me the determination to know nothing but Jesus Christ and his cross. Give me the power to lay down like Jesus, the wisdom of the world and our pride that stand in the way of our faith. Please give me the courage to crucify the wounds, weaknesses, fears, and worries that make the life of faith difficult. Crucify all these temptations and temptations in the world and let us experience the power that God gives us.
